Aims & Objectives
The Centre for South Asian Studies has rare distinction in catering the research and educational needs regarding South Asia and SAARC region by providing quality education. It plans to develop and teach inter-disciplinary programs for studying South Asia in both traditional and modern contexts.
Library
The Centre has a Specialized Library containing over 19,000 books, reports, monographs, journals and newspapers. The collection covers the subjects of Economics, Political Science, Geography, Sociology, History and Religions of South Asia. It also has a separate section on Afghanistan, Iran and other SAARC countries. The Library regularly receives English dailies from South Asian countries.
