Objectives
The Centre for South Asian Studies has rare distinction in catering the research and educational needs regarding South Asia and SAARC region by providing quality education. It plans to develop and teach inter-disciplinary programmes for studying South Asia in both traditional and modern contexts. The main objective is to study and develop an understanding of socio-economic and political growth and coordination among Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Afghanistan, as South Asian Studies basically focus on the states comprising SAARC.
